We had a fabulous day celebrating World Rivers Day on Sunday 24th September 2023. River Mole River Watch had a stand next to the South East Rivers Trust (SERT) next to Gatwick Stream at Horley Riverside Park. Local councillors, Victoria Chester and Lynne Burnham, organised a litter pick, the scouts picked up bagful's of rubbish, and of course there was the ubiquitous shopping trolley! Simon and I chatted with lots of interested and enthusiastic walkers, families, cyclists, anglers and tourists who wanted to know what the issues are with the river Mole and tributaries.
